Hey Coach, I suppose it depends on a number of things. I have been quoted some pretty wild ranges. Everything tom $1.50 — $5.50. I imagine a player like Medium would not want to pay more than $2.50.

The total earnings would depend on the blog niche, the number of ads displayed, traffic location, time of year, bounce rate, and pages visited per session.

But that was only one part of my critique. The other big one for me was the no-ad policy. I get approached to review products and services or just write about them and can charge up to $1000 per post but I'm not allowed to on Medium.

I know people still do this on Medium, skirting the rules, you know it, we all know it, yet it’s not allowed apparently which makes it all even seedier and more confusing. All the big platforms allow sponsored or paid posts, you just have to tag and disclose it properly.
